Gerard Murray

Gerard Murray has served as a Director of Pacific Urethanes since 2008 and has over 50 years of experience in the polyurethane industry.

From 1970 to 1980, he was involved in conducting research work at the Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) UK, Polyurethanes Department.  In 1980, he served as Chief Chemist at a Polyurethanes Systems House in Melbourne. He became the company’s Technical Director in 1982, and subsequently progressed to become the Export Manager, General Manager and eventually the CEO.

Mr.Murray is currently developing a range of passive fire protection products with special organisations in the defence and civil industries.

He is a member and associate of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) and has served as a Chartered Chemist since 1984. In addition, he is an active committee member of Standards Australia (SA), developing and updating Australian standards relevant to the polyurethane industry.
